1979 - XX World Jamboree - Nishapur, Iran

Political events of great consequence prevented the 15th World Jamboree from taking place in 1979 at Neishabur near Mashad in Iran. The Scouts of Iran had done their best to prepare for the World Jamboree. Instead, the year 1979 was declared the World Jamboree Year by the World Bureau with a large number of large national camps.
