1995 - 18th World Jamboree - Dronten, Flevoland, Netherlands

"Future is now" was the motto of the 18th World Jamboree in Dronten, Flevoland, 70 km northeast of Amsterdam in Holland. 28'960 scouts and guides from 166 nations took part in this meeting. Highlights were the "Jamboree Friendship Award", the second "Global Development Village" the "Interfaith Ceremony on Violence and Peace", a "Scout Forum" and the "Liaison with the United Nations Secretariat" at the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the United Nations.
