BuLa Story - 9th Swiss National Scout Camp, Linth Plain, 2008

19th July – 2nd August 2008, approximatively 25 000 scouts

Around 1000 scout groups travel from all regions of Switzerland to the Linth plain on 18 special trains. The national camp accommodates about 25 000 scouts and is supported by 2000 helpers. 500 Scouts from 14 countries and 22 Swiss abroad have travelled to the camp. The Scouts Despite Everything (PTA) will also be there.

Scouting in the Linth Plain

The Scouts pitched their tents in eight sub-camps in the Linth plain between Lake Walen and Lake Obersee (Lake Zurich). The decisive factors for choosing the Linth Plain region were its good location in the centre of Switzerland, the region's many infrastructure and public transport connections. In organising the camp, the cooperation with the local population and the careful treatment of the environment played an important role.
