Olave Baden Powell Society Event 2013 Lucerne
Danish Princess meets Girl Scouts
"In the Pathi tolerance is lived. A perfect world can only be achieved if the different cultures encountered each other with tolerance. It is a pity that politicians sometimes forget this," said Princess Benedikte of Denmark according to a communication from Friday. The 69-year-old sister of the acting Danish queen is head of the Olave Baden-Powell Society. It has been supporting girls and young women in the Pfadi for 29 years. The association has 1200 members worldwide. The name of the association comes from the wife of the pathway founder Lord Robert Baden-Powell.
The Pathi women met for four days for their annual meeting. A total of around 300 members from 25 nations travelled to Lucerne. The meeting took place for the first time in Switzerland.
